Help!! Prelude crank bolt will not budge

Any hints, tips or tricks to getting the crank bolt loose on a 99 Lude? I've tried 1/2" impact and a breaker bar with a cheater bar. No luck. I don't have the special tool to hold the crank and I don't have a 3/4" impact.

hold the pulley somehow ,then use a 5 to 6 foot bar attached to a 1/2 wrench.you need a 1/2 extention to reach outside the fenderwell to crank the 6 foot pipe.
it will break loose with the 6 foot bar,and nothing else.....

GOT IT!!!!!! Had to take the trans dust shield off and shove a pry bar in there. Plus a jack handle helped out. I already ordered the tool to hold the crank for next time.

It should take a WHOLE LOT of "ass" to take this bolt off... the factory torque spec. is 181 ft/lbs. Once it has heated up and cooled off a few times, it gets even tighter.

Glad to hear that you got it off OK. Make sure you torque it to spec. when re-installing it.
